Tinker Tailor BA BFI

We took a group of Year 13 Media students on a visit to the British Film Institute for a programme centered on their A2 Media Studies exam on 'New Media Technologies'. The students were a real credit to themselves and the Academy; having featured heavily with probing questions during the Q&A with leading media professionals, Rosa Weba (freelance citizen journalist) and Andy Conroy (The Chief Operating Office for BBC Online).

Our students made so much of an impression in an auditorium filled with other Sixth Form, College and University students, with questions from Cherise Pelton, Katie Williamson and Anthony McClatchey evoking both cheers from the audience and commendations from the professionals. So much so, that it led to Mr Conroy personally congratulating our students on their efforts and participation at the end of the programme - a real nice touch.

The visit was highly beneficial for all involved and it has provided a real springboard for learning back in the classroom.
