Dinner Money

Unfortunately, due to an increase in the number of school meals that are regularly not being paid for, with effect from 19 September 2016, Bexleyheath Academy will implement a NO DEBT policy relating to the school meals.

If debts are incurred, then the school budget has to pay for them. This means that money which should be spent on the children’s education is used to pay for any unpaid meals. We are sure you will agree that this is unacceptable and we hope that all parents give this policy their full support. As you can appreciate in all other establishments you would not be able to take food or goods without paying for them in advance.

School lunches must be paid for in advance either online at or by sending cash or cheque in a marked envelope for the drop box. If you require a reminder of your ‘login’ details you can contact the main reception who will be happy to assist.

If a parent genuinely forgets to pay in advance, the school may grant a debt allowance of one meal. However, this debt must be paid next day and future meals must be paid in advanced before any meal is provided.

If you believe that you may qualify for entitlement to Free School Meals, please contact the office for more details. This allowance is a statutory right and it is important that you use it if you qualify. We can help you with your application if you contact the main reception.

If you have any questions relating to this, please contact the main office on 0208 303 5696 and speak to one of our reception team.

Thank you for your anticipated support.
