On the 1st March, Bexleyheath Academy welcomed 38 different employers for a careers speed networking event.  Companies ranged from Transport for London to Mclaren to the Civil Service to Digital Media.

All the students in Year 8 and Year 10 were given the chance to speak to 10 employers in their session and ask questions about that person's job, the skills they need to be successful in that role and the route they took to get their job.

The students enjoyed being able to speak to such a diverse range of people representing different sectors and quite a few commented on how they spoke to people whose careers they had never considered before.

The employers worked incredibly hard and most were able to stay from periods 1 to 4.  We were very fortunate to have quite a few alumni (former students of the school) at the event as well as companies who joined us on the day because of invites through STEMNET, Founders 4 Schools, Bexley Council and the BA Parent Forum.  The careers team would also like to thank Bexleyheath Asda for helping with the car parking.
