Teddy Gibbons with his Gold Medal

It is always wonderful to have the positive behaviours of our students noticed in the community and it was therefore a delight to receive a letter from a member of the public regarding the conduct of Ben Cottrell Year 7 on a bus. I will quote directly from the letter received. ' He is an absolute credit to your school. You should be proud of him. He was polite to everyone, offering assistance to old people, people with children and people flagging in the heat'. We are of course extremely proud of Ben who brilliantly demonstrates our CARES ethos of courtesy and respect towards others. I enjoyed seeing Ben set off for training yesterday evening as Ben is an enthusiastic and talented member of our Rugby Squad. He also enjoys football and supports Charlton Athletic.

It is also fantastic to celebrate the amazing achievements of another of our sportsmen Teddy Gibbons Year 8 (pictured). A judo champion who won a gold medal at the London Youth Games this year repeating his success from a year ago when he also won gold. Teddy has won 60 medals for his success in judo and like Ben loves Rugby and plays for local team Dartfordians.

Both deserve our praise and congratulations as magnificent examples of students at the Academy.
