Wonderful Prefects and Enchanting Violin Playing!

Following our wonderful Year 11 Prefects Presentation Evening last night it was a delight to meet two of our new prefects today Sophie Carey and Edna Teixeira who were unable to be with us yesterday but who were absolutely delighted with their new ties. Our Prefects are carefully chosen and set a magnificent example to all our other students in our school. It is fantastic to work with such dedicated and inspirational young people and their contribution to our school is beyond praise. I look forward to working with them throughout the year  ahead and my hope of course is that as many of them as possible will join our superb Sixth Form.

What a fantastic joy it was, having just chatted with Sophie and Edna, to meet with one of my own History class Year 7 students Tia Barnes-Wells who came to my office to give me a personal violin recital. Music is incredibly close to my heart and I was entranced as Tia played me two pieces demonstrating her complete commitment to this most beautiful instrument. Tia is another  excellent example of our courteous, enthusiastic and lovely students. I am sure that we all wish Tia well with her studies and  much joy with her music and violin playing in the future.
