ALPS "Excellent"

Our Sixth Form has been rated as "Excellent" at GCE A2 Level and "Very Good" at BTEC Level Three in the 2014-2015 ALPS reports. The reports compare a student's awarded grade at the end of the academic year with their predicted grade. The ALPS system then ranks every sixth form in the country, based on achievement and progress, using a nine point "thermometer" scale. Our A2 summer results placed us in the top 25% of all sixth forms in the country for students achieving their target in their GCE and just below the top 25% of achieving their BTEC Level Three target.

A number of departments were in the top 25% percent of highest performing subjects, for student achievement against target, in the country including Photography, Business, IT, Enterprise, Art & Design, Film Studies, History and Psychology.

The results reflect the excellent motivation, work ethic and dedication of both the students and Sixth form teaching and pastoral teams over the last two years. We are very proud of these well rounded young adults who are entering the world of Higher Education and work with a broad range of qualifications and additional skills.
