On Thursday 24 October, Bexleyheath Academy welcomed Sixth Form students from Townley Grammar and Bexley Grammar Schools to join 12 of our own students.

On the first training day of the Royal Society for Public Health Award delivered by Bexley Health Promotion co-ordinators, the students were encouraged to consider the basic principles of public health, lifestyle choices and how to manage personal health collaboratively with service providers.

The students will all go on to take an examination in this subject area and design and deliver ‘Health Promotion Campaigns’ within their own schools based on needs assessments.

This is the first time this course has been offered to local schools and Bexleyheath Academy are very pleased to have hosted the event and supported their own and visiting students in their progress towards this qualification.
